Baomo Garden in Guangzhou (广州宝墨园)

The famous Baomo Garden in Guangzhou faced destruction but has again been restored to its previous glory. The garden was built during the last days of the Qing Dynasty and is situated in the village of Zini near Shawan town. The garden is a fine specimen of Lingnan architecture.

Features of Baomo Garden in Guangzhou:

• The interiors of the park consist of both the manmade objects and objects created by nature. The sculptures that are the proud of the garden are made of stones, clay, and porcelain and often wood.
• The entire garden is intelligently and meticulously divided among hills, mountains, gardens and buildings. The traditional arts of gardening followed in South China are imbibed in the laying out of the gardens.
• The entrance archways are notable for their artistic excellence. They are replica of the types used in ancient buildings. The various pottery, stone and wood carvings are scattered all over the garden. The most famous among them are the porcelain sculpture named “Riverside Scene of Singing Festival”. The sculpture is nominated for a place in the Guinness Book of World Record. The gallery at the Litchi Island has a more extensive collection of similar examples of art.
• The Garden is also a huge gallery of halls. The Baomo Treasure Hall, Ju Bao Hall, Long Tu Hall preserves photographs, pottery, bronze and jade articles belonging to the days of ancient China. Amidst the garden is also placed the statue of a Chinese sage Confucius.
• The Baomo Garden has some fine water bodies such as the Litchi View Bay, Baomo Lake and Qingping Lake. The crystal clear water is inviting and the Zidong Pleasure Boat on the Qingping Lake is a symbol of art the beauty of which is hard to forget. The water bodies are linked with 30 odd bridges.
• The Bamboo Garden is the Children’s corner. They can either paddle through the swift flowing water and have fun or try out their hands at fishing.
• The Baomo Garden is a little treasure cove with beauty scattered in every nook and corner of the garden. Apart the sculptures and water bodies the garden also boasts of a Lotus Pool, Rose Garden and an orchid Garden.
• The Garden also houses a viewing Tower from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the whole garden. The restaurants at the Baomo Garden offer the authentic specialties of the Panyu cuisine in your lunch break. One must try out the special Shawan Town Ginger Milk while on a visit to the Baomo Garden.

1．Seven Star Crags and Dinghu Mountain Two-Day Tour (肇庆七星岩、鼎湖山两日游)
Zhaoqing Seven Star Crage(肇庆七星岩)
The Seven Star Crags (七星岩) are located at the fringe of Zhaoqing by the Star Lake and form one of the most scenic places in Guangdong Province, in southern China.
The limestone crags are naturally arranged in the same formation as the 7 stars of the Big Dipper constellation. Legend has it that the pillars of limestone grew from stars that fell from the skies. There are lots of caves in this 8 km² area and some contain underground rivers that are large enough to navigate by boat. The Star Lake has been designated a national park.
Numerous sculptures of Buddhism and Taoizm idols are placed around the Star Lake. There is also a migratory birds reserve within reach by boat ride.
Zhaoqing is about 3 hours from Guangzhou.

Zhaoqing Dinghu Mountain (肇庆鼎湖山)
Dinghu Mountain (鼎湖山) is located in Dinghu District, 18km to the east of Zhaoqing City, in the Dayunwu Mountain Rang, in Guangdong Province of southern China. It is one of the four famous mountains - Danxia, Dinghu, Xiqiao and Luofu in Guangdong Province.
Known as the "green gem on the Tropic of Cancer", the mountain's peaks rise above ancient towering trees, flying waterfalls, fresh air, various birds and colorful flowers. Since ancient times, it has been a tourist attraction and a Buddhist sacred place. Its shrines attract up to 1 million visitors per year (1997).

2. Bishuiwan Hot Spring Tour(1-2 Days)(从化碧水湾温泉1~2天游)
Bishuiwan Hot Spring Holiday Inn is located in Conghua hot spring tour and holiday area of Guangzhou, and is near the bank of Liuxi River. The inn occupied 260 mu area with 30,000 square kilometers building area. The holiday inn is managed by Shanghai Jinjiang Internation Management Co. The Inn is a Four-Star luxury holiday inn. The hotel, restaurant, conference hall, recreation room, rest zone, health care center and open-air hot spring are gathered in the Bishuiwan Inn.

广州宝墨园  AAAA级旅游景区 
 

宝墨园位于番禺沙湾镇紫坭村，距离广州市区35公里。建于清末，占地五亩，毁于二十世纪五十年代。一九九五年重建，历时六载，扩至一百多亩，集清宫文化、岭南古建筑、岭南园林艺术、珠三角水乡特色于一体，建筑、园林、山水、石桥等布局合理，和谐自然，构成一幅幅美丽壮观的景色。

正门的白石仿古牌坊，雄伟巍峨，巧夺天工。园中陶塑、瓷塑、砖雕、灰塑、石刻、木雕等艺术精品琳琅满目。惊世之作，当数已列入大世界吉尼斯之最的瓷逆浮雕《清明上河图》。巨幅砖雕《吐艳和鸣壁》工艺精湛。荔岛中的聚宝阁金碧辉煌，雍容华丽，阁内供奉万世师表孔子铜像，供游人瞻仰。此阁与宝墨藏珍、龙图馆、赵泰来藏品馆等珍藏的古今名画、书法、陶瓷、铜器、玉器等，体现了中华民族文化源远流长，形成独特的人文景观，简直是一座园林艺术馆。

全园水景，堪称一绝。荔景湾、清平湖、宝墨湖与一千多米长河贯通，水清如镜，长流不息，三十多座石桥，横跨旖旎河湖之上。若驾画舫轻舟，逍遥放棹，仿似置身蓬瀛。清平湖上的紫洞舫有如一座水上艺术宫殿。湖面上，虹飞紫带；湖周围，绿柳侵烟；喜看锦鲤千千红浪涌，游人个个笑颜开。紫竹园里的紫竹溪，专供小孩玩水观鱼，更是儿童的欢乐天地。 　　
宝墨园四时青翠，百卉丛开，园林花卉景点，有聚有散，步移景换，美不胜收。诸如荔岛凝丹、玉堂春瑞、柳剪春风、千年罗汉、桂苑浮春、群芳竞秀、古榕长荫、茶王双壁，令人百看不厌。万紫千红的玫瑰园，沁人心脾的荷花池，清幽高雅的兰圃，惠风和畅的紫竹林，使人赏心悦目，尤是避暑胜地。

会后，如果代表继续旅游，我们建议两条旅游线路。代表可选一条线路。会务组联系参团，费用自理。

1．肇庆七星岩、鼎湖山两日游

肇庆七星岩:“峰险、石异、洞奇、庙古”的岭南第一奇观。

七星岩位于肇庆城区中心，因七座奇峰列峙如北斗七星而得名，被人为集集“桂林之山，杭州之水”。七星岩的名胜有“五湖六岗七岩八洞”之说，位于七星岩东面的仙女湖风景优美，每当太阳西下的时候可以观赏到卧佛吞日的自然奇观；岩峰和岩洞是星湖的精髓，龙岩洞最奇，洞中有洞，有双龙戏水，有千年诗廊，令人称奇。
七星岩景区保存着唐代以来的石刻489题，历史上的李绅、包拯、周敦颐、张居正等名人和现代的朱德、叶剑英、陈毅、郭沫若、周扬等都在这里留下过题刻，陈毅元帅称这里为“千年诗廊”，具有重要艺术价值和科研价值。
七星岩盛产梅子，个大汁多，清脆可口，是这里的特产之一。

从广州到肇庆约三小时车程，肇庆火车站前的迎宾大道不远处就是七星岩；肇庆市内有公共汽车，环湖旅游专线车、出租小汽车和交通船都直达景区内。风景区内有公共汽车，环湖旅游专线车、出租小汽车和交通船，旅游、渡假、开会都非常方便。端砚：石质坚实、润滑、细腻、娇嫩，水气久久不干，古人有“哈气研墨”之说。

肇庆鼎湖山
鼎湖山是岭南四大名山之首，距肇庆城区东北18公里，位于北纬23°10’，东经112°31’。因地球上北回归线穿过的地方大都是沙漠或干草原，所以鼎湖山又被中外学者誉为“北回归线上的绿宝石” 。 1956年，鼎湖山成为我国第一个自然保护区。1979年又成为我国第一批加入联合国科教文组织“人与生物圈”计划的保护区，建立了“人与生物圈”研究中心，成为国际性的学术交流和研究基地。
    鼎湖山面积1133公顷，最高处的鸡笼山顶高1000.3米，从山麓到山顶依次分布着沟谷雨林、常绿阔林、亚热带季风常绿阔叶林等森林类型。而保存较好的南亚热带森林典型的地带性常绿阔叶林是有400多年历史的原始森林。鼎湖山因其特殊的研究价值闻名海内外，被眷为华南生物种类的“基因储存库”和“活的自然博物馆”。
鼎湖与七星岩一起于1982年组成星湖风景名胜区，成为国家首批44个重点风景名胜区之一，于1998年七月又评为国家文明风景名胜区示范点。如今，鼎湖山又建起了国际学生旅馆，以低廉的价格接待海内外学生。

2. 从化碧水湾温泉1~2天游
碧水湾温泉度假村位于广州从化流溪河畔，地处“从化80公里绿色旅游走廊”的中心，四周层峦叠嶂，树木葱郁，碧水环绕。总占地240亩，建筑面积4万多平方米，是一家由民航中南空管局投资、按五星级标准建造的集餐饮、住宿、娱乐及大型露天温泉为一体的温泉主题度假村。
碧水湾温泉分为药浴区、戏水区、水疗区、休闲区、木屋区等。温泉水温高达70度，无色无味，水质晶莹，富含多种矿物质，是世界级珍稀苏打型温泉，这样的温泉在目前世界仅发现两处：一是从化，二是瑞士。这里的温泉水对人体的各类骨科疾病、运动神经疾病及高血压、消化系统疾病、妇科疾病都有明显疗效，是绝佳的休闲养生之地，被评为“广东十大鲜温泉榜首”。
